MEGGLE Group AG (MEGGLE) and DAVISCO Foods International, Inc. (DAVISCO) announced today the commencement of commercial production of lactose for pharmaceutical applications at the North American manufacturing facility in Le Sueur, MN. The joint venture between the European and North American companies expands the product portfolio offered by MEGGLE and affords customers the benefits of a secure supply base on two continents. The new facility was constructed over a two year period and offers state-of-the-art processing technology.

With an additional production site now in the United States, MEGGLE is less sensitive raw material and foreign exchange fluctuations as well as importation issues, thus providing a consistent and secure supply of materials to our customers in the pharmaceutical industries”, commented Drs.
