Pharmaceutical Thermal Analysis

Pharmaceutical Thermal Analysis In theory, all thermal analytical techniques measure the change of a specific property of a material as a function of temperature. This ultimately allows researchers access to information regarding macroscopic theories of matter including, equilibrium and irreversible thermodynamics and kinetics.

If any laboratory was in need of thermal analysis equipment, the most commonly used type would be a Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). Instruments are available from simple robust DSC’s with robotics and high-throughput capabilities for screening and quality control, to high-end, extremely sensitive instruments for research applications. All DSC instruments operate over a wide temperature range both isothermally and dynamically and can be used for solids, semi-solids and liquids.
