In a recent letter, Wacker Biotech GmbH announced its swift progress in its integration of Scil Proteins Production GmbH following its acquisition in November 2013. Since then, Scil Proteins Production GmbH has ceased to exist as an independent company and is now listed under the commercial register entry for Wacker Biotech GmbH having officially merged with them. All rights and obligations arising from contracts originally concluded by Scil Proteins Production GmbH have now passed to Wacker Biotech GmbH.
The merger and resultant creation of a specialist for microbial biologics production – “the microbial CM” – will benefit the customer in the following ways: Pooling the refolding expertise of Scil Proteins with the ESETEC technology of Wacker Biotech will enable a more comprehensive and versatile range which will be further expanded in the coming years through continuous technological improvements. At the same time, Wacker Biotech GmBH will continue to provide high-quality CMO capability. Furthermore, longstanding, trusted contacts with the company remain the same and can be reached under the same email addresses and contact numbers as before.
