Description
Lapatinib ditosylate is a quinazoline derivative used as a cytostatic agent. It is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor used in a special form of breast cancer. Inhibiting the tyrosine kinase domain results in a missing signal that otherwise triggers cell division processes. Since the drug is CNS-common, it could also act against metastases in the brain.
