Overview

Albumin is a veritable swiss-army-knife among naturally occurring mammalian proteins and its utility among many applications could be discussed for countless hours. Through careful engineering of the protein, we have optimized and purified a recombinant human serum albumin (rHSA). This novel rHSA can solve numerous problems when used in final drug product formulations or deployed in medical devices and sealants.

We show how a Blood-Free rHSA from a non-mammalian expression system has been engineered to be the highest purity albumin available. Furthermore, we show how this translates to benefits for biopharmaceuticals through enhanced binding and transport, solubilization of hydrophobic molecules, and superior post-translational modification. Specific focus will be given to practical applications.

In addition, we discuss how using an rHSA can help risk mitigation strategies in your processes and final products, by addressing the industry’s increasing concerns about supply chain reliability, albumin protein consistency, regulatory recommendations, and product safety.

In this webinar you’ll learn:

  • Optimizing final formulation of drug products with albumin
  • How to avoid the variable nature of albumin’s structure, how it affects function, and how purity solves these issues in practical applications
  • Blood-Free rHSA’s relationship to enhanced quality, stability, regulatory acceptance, and performance
Who should attend:
  • Biotechnology Researchers
  • Final Formulary Scientists
  • Medical Device Manufacturers
  • Small molecule delivery
  • Surgical adhesives and coatings
