Overview

Significant hurdles must be overcome during the drug development process. Only 1 in 5,000 discovery compounds reach the market, and 1 in 5 drug candidates gain approval. Most failures in early development are mainly due to drug toxicity or safety issues, whereas a lack of efficacy is the primary reason for late-stage failure.

About 50% of drugs on the market and nearly 90% of molecules in the discovery pipeline are poorly water soluble. Poor solubility can lead to low bioavailability, resulting in suboptimal drug delivery, ineffective drug efficacy, and side effects. Various drug delivery nano-technologies can play an important role to overcome these bioavailability challenges.

The webinar will explain the role nano-formulations play to accelerate the drug discovery/development process. It will also outline a formulation strategy to resolve the drug-loading and bioavailability issues, while minimizing manufacturing complexity.

In this webinar you’ll learn:

  • The role nano-formulations play in accelerating the drug discovery/development process
  • How to develop a formulation strategy to resolve drug-loading and bioavailability
  • How a nano-formulation approach minimizes the manufacturing complexity
Who should attend:
  • CEO
  • Chief Scientific Officer (CSO)
