Description
Entecavir sodium is a Guanosine analogue that acts as a virostatic. It is one of the nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTI) and is therefore used against hepatitis B. The effect comes from it competitive displacing Deoxyguanostriphosphate (dGTP).
