ANI Pharmaceuticals has announced the commercial launch of Nimodipine 30mg Capsules, a product developed by collaboration partner Sofgen. The overall US market for Nimodipine is $25 million, per IMS Health.
Arthur S. Przybyl, President and Chief Executive Officer said, "We are pleased to announce the launch of Nimodipine, the third of four products we plan to commercialize before the end of 2015. Year to date, ANI has introduced five products in 2015, with an additional launch of Flecainide planned for later this month."
Nimodipine is indicated for the improvement of neurological outcome by reducing the incidence and severity of ischemic deficits in patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage from ruptured intracranial berry aneurysms regardless of their post-ictus neurological condition (i.e. Hunt and Hess Grades I-V).
