Thermo Fisher Expands Plasmid DNA Purification Portfolio

PureLink Fast Low-Endotoxin Plasmid Purification

Thermo Fisher Scientific announced the launch of its new PureLink Fast Low-Endotoxin Plasmid Purification Midi and Maxi Kits, adding to its line of low-endotoxin plasmid DNA isolation products. The kits offer researchers dramatically accelerated isolation of plasmid DNA compared to current standard protocols.

With the PureLink kits, researchers can isolate transfection-quality plasmid in about 30 minutes – up to 0.4 mg for midi scale and up to 1.5 mg for maxi scale preparation – enabling researchers to obtain high yields of low-endotoxin DNA in significantly less time and without a tedious alcohol precipitation step.

Low-endotoxin plasmid is ideal for transfection of a wide range of cell lines, as well as less sensitive applications such as in vivo transcription, PCR, cloning and sequencing. The PureLink Fast Low-Endotoxin Midi and Maxi Plasmid Purification Kits meet stringent industry standards for low-endotoxin plasmid DNA, with less than 1 EU/µg, and provide high-purity DNA with ultra-low levels of protein, RNA and genomic DNA contamination, along with the productivity gains of vacuum assisted filtration.

Plasmid purified with the PureLink Fast Midi and Maxi Kits is fully compatible with and complements the workflows of the Gibco ExipCHO and Expi293 Expression Systems.
