Blue Water Vaccines Inc. acquires ENTADFI®, an FDA-approved treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) that addresses sexual side effects of alternative BPH therapies. The $100 million deal includes upfront payment of $20 million and potential additional payments based on sales milestones. Blue Water also takes on royalty and milestone obligations, as well as all available inventory of ENTADFI®. BPH affects millions of men, causing urinary and sexual dysfunction. ENTADFI® combines finasteride and tadalafil into a once-daily pill, offering a safe and effective treatment option.
Blue Water plans to optimize sales and distribution strategies to expand access to ENTADFI®. Frank Jaeger, an experienced leader in men's health products, joins Blue Water to lead commercialization efforts. The company will undergo a name change and rebranding to Blue Water Biotech to reflect its broader pharmaceutical focus and pipeline.
