Amgen Launches AmgenNow, Offering Repatha® Through Direct-to-Patient Program in U.S. at 60% Discount

Amgen has announced the launch of AmgenNow, a new direct-to-patient initiative that makes its cholesterol-lowering drug Repatha® (evolocumab) available in the United States at a significantly reduced price. Under this program, eligible patients can access Repatha at a monthly cost of $239, which is nearly 60% lower than the current U.S. list price—a move that responds to growing political and public pressures on pharmaceutical pricing.

AmgenNow welcomes all patients, including those who are uninsured, have high-deductible plans, or would rather pay out-of-pocket, bypassing traditional insurance requirements like prior authorization and step therapy. According to the company, the program intends to support broader efforts to lower drug costs nationwide and is also accessible to Medicare and Medicaid participants. Amgen plans to make the program available through the TrumpRx website in alignment with federal initiatives to improve affordability.

The new direct offering follows landmark clinical trial results showing Repatha’s ability to lower major cardiovascular risk in individuals without previous heart attacks or strokes, and comes after fifteen years of research across 57,000 patients. AmgenNow represents a major step in expanding access to essential therapy for Americans facing cardiovascular risk.
