Lupin Commits $250M to Florida Plant as U.S. Respiratory Drug Manufacturing Accelerates

Lupin is expanding its U.S. footprint with a $250 million investment in a new state-of-the-art respiratory drug production facility in Coral Springs, Florida. The project is set to diversify the national supply chain and boost domestic production of critical medicines, reflecting the ongoing industry movement to onshore pharmaceutical manufacturing in light of global supply chain vulnerabilities observed in recent years.

Spanning 70,000 square feet on over five acres, the planned facility will specialize in producing over 25 essential respiratory medicines, with a focus on treatments like albuterol inhalers used by children with asthma and by service members. The investment will not only modernize Lupin’s manufacturing capabilities but is expected to create more than 200 skilled jobs locally by 2030, supported by tax credits and incentives from the state.

The Florida plant builds on Lupin’s existing presence in the state and is positioned as an anchor for U.S.-based respiratory therapies.
