CNS Pharmaceuticals has appointed Lynne Kelley, MD, FACS, as chief medical officer, completing the company’s newly formed executive leadership team. CNS Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel treatments for primary and metastatic cancers in the brain and central nervous system.
According to the company, Dr. Kelley brings more than two decades of global leadership experience in clinical development, translational medicine and regulatory strategy spanning oncology, rare diseases, CNS and medical devices. She has led Phase 1–3 clinical programs and supported regulatory approvals in the United States, Europe, China and Japan, and is described as having a track record in building high‑performing medical organizations and delivering regulatory and commercial outcomes.
Dr. Kelley has previously served as chief medical officer at multiple public and private biotechnology and medical device companies, including TISSIUM, Servier Pharmaceuticals, X4 Pharmaceuticals and Senseonics. Her experience includes development programs resulting in INDs, NDAs, BLAs, PMAs, and breakthrough and orphan drug designations, as well as interactions with FDA advisory committees that achieved unanimous approval votes.
CNS Pharmaceuticals stated that its executive team is committed to execution and to the company’s evolution with a focus on value for patients and stakeholders. The company said Dr. Kelley’s appointment will be instrumental as it prioritizes and strategically builds its pipeline.
