Upsher-Smith Laboratories has launched Ciprofloxacin 0.3% and Dexamethasone 0.1% Otic Suspension, USP, a generic version of Ciprodex (ciprofloxacin 0.3% and dexamethasone 0.1%) sterile otic suspension, in the United States. The product marks Upsher-Smith’s first prescription ear drop suspension and supports the company’s broader strategy to expand and diversify its generics portfolio. According to IQVIA data cited by the company, the U.S. market for ciprofloxacin and dexamethasone otic suspension recorded approximately 118 million dollars in sales for the 12‑month period from December 2024 through November 2025.
The new otic suspension is supplied as Ciprofloxacin 0.3% and Dexamethasone 0.1% Otic Suspension, USP, in a 7.5 mL fill size under NDC 0832‑1430‑75. The product has been assigned a Therapeutic Equivalence (TE) code of AB, with the Reference Listed Drug identified as branded Ciprodex.
