BeOne Medicines said it will invest another $300M to expand its manufacturing and research center at the Princeton West Innovation Campus in Hopewell, New Jersey, bringing total U.S. manufacturing investment at the site to more than $1 billion. The company said the project will boost production capacity for its medicines and add about 120 full-time jobs.
The expansion will make the Hopewell campus a fully integrated, multi-platform manufacturing site by combining existing biologics production with new small molecule drug product capabilities under one roof. BeOne said the new three-story, 145,000-square-foot building will sit adjacent to the current facility and house drug product manufacturing and packaging operations, along with quality control laboratories, office space, and room for future growth. Once complete, the campus will span about 545,000 square feet.
BeOne said the expanded site will strengthen its production and supply chain capabilities to support its growing hematology portfolio and pipeline, as well as strategic collaborations with partners. The company also said the investment supports a deep oncology pipeline of more than 35 clinical and commercial-stage assets. The Hopewell facility, which opened in July 2024 following an initial $800 million investment, serves as BeOne’s flagship U.S. manufacturing and clinical R&D hub.
Chief Financial Officer Aaron Rosenberg said the expansion reflects BeOne’s commitment to strengthening U.S. manufacturing and expanding access to innovative cancer medicines. He also pointed to federal tax policies, the Next New Jersey Manufacturing Program, and support from state leadership as part of an environment that encourages long-term growth. The expanded facility is expected to be fully operational in 2029.
