Landmark Bio and Syngoi Technologies will now operate as Artis BioSolutions, bringing the company’s U.S. and European operations under a single brand focused on genetic medicines.
The rebrand combines Landmark Bio’s Watertown, Massachusetts development and GMP manufacturing operations with Syngoi’s Bilbao, Spain-based enzymatic synthetic DNA business. Artis said the move completes a transatlantic platform that connects proprietary synthetic DNA production with advanced therapy development and clinical-grade manufacturing.
The company said its goal is to replace fragmented supply chains and legacy plasmid DNA models with an integrated system that links starting material directly to downstream development and manufacturing services. Rather than moving therapies through disconnected vendors, Artis aims to manage the process as one continuous platform from gene to GMP.
Chief Executive Officer Brian Neel said advanced therapies require development and manufacturing platforms built specifically for the complexity of the science. He said bringing Landmark and Syngoi together under one brand makes Artis’ commitment to that model clear to partners.
Chief Business Officer Peter Stolba said the combined capabilities will help customers streamline development, reduce complexity, and accelerate the path from starting material to commercialization. He said the platform now connects synthetic DNA with process development, analytics, and manufacturing.
Artis said the rebrand follows a deliberate strategy of acquiring and integrating established businesses. In April, Landmark Bio received up to $18.3 million from the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health for the TRANSFORM EV project, which is developing scalable continuous manufacturing for extracellular vesicle therapies.
The company also said it has expanded synthetic DNA manufacturing into its U.S. production site and is growing its commercial organization to meet demand from biotechnology and pharmaceutical partners worldwide. Artis said the investments support next-generation solutions for cell and gene therapies, mRNA, and delivery systems.
