Centric Compounding LLC is recalling six lots of compounded injectable Glutathione, Myer’s Cocktail and Tri-Immune Boost products nationwide after identifying elevated endotoxin levels in a glutathione active pharmaceutical ingredient used in the products.
The Houston-based company announced the voluntary consumer-level recall Sept. 9. The affected products were distributed to patients through home delivery and to prescribers, according to a notice published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Injectable products containing elevated endotoxin levels could cause serious medical events, including fever, hypotension, inflammatory reactions, anaphylactic shock and death, the company said. Centric Compounding reported receiving nine complaints involving fever, chills, chest pain, nausea or vomiting, headache and/or malaise.
The recall includes three lots of Glutathione 200 mg/mL 30 mL multidose vials, two lots of Myer’s Cocktail 30 mL multidose vials and one lot of Tri-Immune Boost 30 mL multidose vials. The listed beyond-use dates range from Aug. 7 through Sept. 25, 2026.
Affected Glutathione lots are 062326:B, 070826:A and 072726:D. The recalled Myer’s Cocktail lots are 070226:D and 072126:A, while the Tri-Immune Boost lot is 071626:B.
Centric Compounding said it is notifying distributors and customers by email and arranging replacement products. It advised consumers to stop using and discard affected vials.
