Description
ZipDose Technology is Aprecia's 3D-printing formulation platform, developed from binder-jetting research originating at MIT. It enables high-dose, rapidly dispersible orodispersible tablets and is the platform behind Aprecia's FDA-approved product Spritam (levetiracetam) — the first and only FDA-approved 3D-printed drug product. Powdered medicine is spread in thin layers and bound with precisely placed polymer binder droplets from industrial-grade inkjet nozzles, then dried and sealed in child-resistant blister packaging.
