Metal detection is an important part of identifying foreign object contamination. It is often the first line of defense when working to identify the presence of ferrous, non-ferrous, or stainless steel contaminants before they have the opportunity leave the processing plant. This type of process has been in use for tablet and capsule production for the past 40 years.
