Description
Aprecia's Open Bed 3DP-Tablet Forming Platform enables 3DP-tablet printing without molds or dies, so no tooling is required when adjusting tablet geometries or spatial compositions. For development, the platform uses bed-to-bed transfer of powder for rapid prototyping with expensive and/or scarce API during feasibility and early formulation. For commercial-scale production, it uses a cam-driven oval "racetrack" of linked moving build trays, with continuous powder feeding and spreading, stationary high-resolution printheads, unprinted powder capture and recirculation, and a humidity-controlled drying oven. The system can produce orodispersible dosage forms in excess of 1000 mg of active ingredient.
