Description
Resveratrol is obtained from the rhizome of the Asian knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum Siebold & Zucc.). It belongs to the group of polyphenols and stilnoids. Resveratrol has an antioxidant effect and interferes with several mechanisms, which are associated with cancer.
