Description
Raltegravir is an virostatic used in the treatment of viruses (including HI viruses). It acts as the first approved agent as an integraseinhibitor. Integrase funnels the viral DNA into the host's DNA strand. Raltegravir should be better tolerated and show success especially in multi-resistant viruses. It was permitted in the US and EU in 2007.
