Traditional Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) tests, including the 96-well microplate assay for kinetic turbidimetric and chromogenic bacterial endotoxin tests, are time-consuming and require significant hands-on time. Now, with the use of centripetal microfluidics, endotoxin assay setup time can be significantly reduced, alongside a reduction in LAL and sample volumes, while maintaining compliance. These improvements support goals to improve sustainability, reduce retest rates, and meet regulatory requirements for LAL tests.
