Optimizing for GxP-Regulated Environmental Monitoring Applications

A computer render of a life science laboratory.

For environmental monitoring sensors, multi-point calibration is recommended as it provides a more accurate performance representation across the operating temperature range. While single-point calibration checks can extend calibration intervals if passed, multi-point calibration is generally preferable for comprehensive accuracy. Calibration can involve simple checks or full factory calibrations, depending on the sensor type. These procedures must be defined, approved, and evaluated by a metrologist to limit uncertainties and ensure accuracy. Effective calibration processes don't need to be complicated or time-consuming but must be documented and consistently followed.
