Sample Digestion Systems

Pharmaceutical sample digestion involves the chemical reaction of a sample with reagents to remove the sample matrix and leave components suspended in solution. The sample and reagents are heated in an appropriate container to speed the reaction. During digestion, there is always some temperature variation, the result of microwave field flux variabilities, differing microwave absorption rates among the samples, and chemical reactions during digestion of the sample. This is why the process is sometimes called microwave digestion.

DescriptionThe Multiwave GO microwave digestion system represents a masterstroke of Anton Paar's engineering. The newly designed DMC Directed Multimode Cavity provides the best of both monomode and multimode microwaves. As in a monomode system, the microwaves HPA-S represents the ultimate performance in wet chemical high pressure digestion sample preparation for AAS, ICP and Voltammetry. The HPA-S acid digestion method is an internationally recognized reference procedure and is in operation as a high-
