Effect of binder particle size on tablet performance

Binders play a crucial role in ensuring acceptable tablet hardness and low friability in direct compression and dry granulation processes. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of different types and grades of plastic polymeric binders, including low molecular weight hydroxyproyl cellulose (HPC) and microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), on tablet strength in direct compression and dry granulation processes.
