Progesterone from Alfa Chemistry

Description

Progesterone is the most important representative of the progestin (female sex hormones). The body synthesizes it from Cholesterol. Progesterone prepares the uterus for embedding a fertilized egg and stimulates uterine mucosa growth. If the egg is fertilized, further follicle maturation is prevented. Without conception, Progesterone levels drop and the lining of the uterus is broken down and excreted.
