1. What are the key features of the DELTAVITA series unique and especially suitable for the pharmaceutical industry?
The DeltaVita is designed to meet all industry standards such as cGMP, GAMP, ASME BPE and the FDA. Product wetted parts are fabricated from stainless steel, zirconium oxide, silicon carbide or silicon nitride and in some cases high-tech FDA approved polymeric materials. Each application is unique in the selection of component materials. Stainless steel surface finishes are polished to Ra = 0.4 microns. Wherever possible, all parts are monobloc construction, meaning there are no seams, cracks or crevices, or threaded connections where material can accumulate and be a concern for contamination. Potential problems are engineered out of the system on the drawing board, not fixed in the field. All DeltaVita mills are designed to be easily cleaned between batches and CIP and SIP are available for most sizes in the DeltaVita series. As for controls, DeltaVita machines are fully automated with either Siemens or Allen Bradley process controllers with data acquisition capability.
The DeltaVita machines include cooling capability to control processing temperatures which can affect the efficiency of the process. The cooling circuits can be connected easily to customer supplied services.
2. What are some of the applications for the DELTAVITA series?
The DeltaVita is used in the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients, and drug delivery molecules. Pharmaceutical materials manufactured with DeltaVita mills include, oral, ocular, parenteral, topical and pulmonary formulations.
