gChem, formerly Gaylord Chemical Company LLC, is the world’s oldest producer of Dimethyl Sulfoxide, Dimethyl Sulfoxide, and is the originator and exclusive producer of PROCIPIENT® (Dimethyl Sulfoxide USP, PhEur), the only grade of DMSO suitable for healthcare and drug delivery applications. COMPANY BACKGROUND
Our history dates back to the Chemical Products Division of the Crown Zellerbach Corporation, which commercialized Dimethyl Sulfoxide in 1962. gChem operated its production facility in the greater New Orleans, USA area for almost 60 years. In 2010, we commissioned our new production facility in Tuscaloosa, AL.
