Daicel Corporation Announces Executive Promotion

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (July 30, 2012) — Daicel has announced the appointment of Dieter Heckmann to the position of Executive Officer – Daicel Corporation.  As a member of the executive leadership team within Daicel, Mr. Heckmann will assume responsibility for global operations of the Chiral Pharmaceutical Ingredients (CPI) Company, reporting to Mr. Misao Fudaba, President and CEO of Daicel Corporation.  In addition to his new duties for CPI, Mr. Heckmann will retain his role as Chief Executive Officer of Chiral Technologies Europe SAS (Illkirch, France), Chiral Technologies Inc. (West Chester, Pa.), and Daicel Chiral Technologies (India) Pvt. Ltd. (Hyderabad).
