Rentschler Biopharma announced the company has signed an agreement to purchase a manufacturing facility from an affiliate Shire plc in Milford near Boston, MA.
The development and manufacturing site will be leveraged as a CDMO by Rentschler Biopharma. Under the terms of the agreement, Rentschler Biopharma will continue to manufacture product for Shire at the site.
The closing of the transaction is subject to the prior satisfaction or waiver of certain closing conditions. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
