Dipharma Acquires UK Partner LogixX Pharma

Dipharma has completed its acquisition of LogixX Pharma, a UK specialty pharmaceutical company based in Theale, Berkshire, establishing a direct commercial presence in the United Kingdom for the Swiss rare-disease company.

Founded in 2010, LogixX markets medicines for rare and metabolic diseases in the UK, supplying the National Health Service and homecare providers. The company has been Dipharma's UK partner for nearly 10 years, commercializing Dipharma's nitisinone and, since 2023, sapropterin dihydrochloride.

The acquisition makes LogixX the platform for future Dipharma product launches in the UK, with Dipharma's development, regulatory and quality expertise supporting the expansion of its portfolio. LogixX will continue to operate under its existing name as a wholly owned subsidiary of Dipharma. Michael Close remains CEO, and the LogixX team continues in its current roles.

Dipharma General Manager Fabio Cannata said LogixX's greatest strength is its people, and that the team's deep knowledge of the UK rare chronic disease market, combined with Dipharma's development expertise, provides a foundation to develop new therapeutic options for patients and families living with rare chronic diseases.

Close said the two companies have worked side by side for years and that, as part of the Dipharma Group, LogixX will have greater resources to broaden its portfolio and bring more treatment options to people living with rare diseases.

The acquisition was completed through the purchase of LogixX's parent company, LogixX Pharma Holding Group Limited. LogixX's fertility business, which now operates as a separate company, was not part of the transaction. Financial terms were not disclosed.
