Forest Row, East Sussex, UK - Sirius Analytical are pleased to announce that Karl Box, previously Sirius’s Head of R&D, has been appointed as its new Chief Scientific Officer (CSO).
Karl has been a key scientific contributor to Sirius for 22 years and took over the CSO role from Sirius’s co-founder John Comer at the beginning of the year.
“It is a real privilege to be asked to move into the role of CSO,” says Karl, “Sirius has an exciting product portfolio and is in the process of developing new products and identifying new areas for growth and I am really looking forward to driving our science forward.”
As John explains: “After 25 exhilarating years of providing scientific leadership to Sirius, the time has come to alter my work/life balance by reducing my working hours. I am delighted Karl Box has accepted our offer of replacing me as CSO – given his knowledge of the industry and his endless past contributions to the company, no-one is better placed to continue to ensure our future innovation and growth”
As a co-founder of the company, John Comer will remain a scientific figurehead for Sirius, and continue to be involved in its operations.
