Gyros AB will launch a new, automated nanoliter-scale immunoassay platform February 9, at the 2015 Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening Conference (SLAS2015) in Washington, D.C., Feb. 7 to 11. This will be the first demo of the new platform.
See Gyros’ newest edition to complement the widely used Gyrolab™ xP workstation. These systems automate immunoassays at nanoliter-scale with time to results in under an hour for bioanalysis in the development of biotherapeutics. Using proven microfluidic technology, Gyrolab workstatoin optimizes immunoassay development, enabling faster assay development, validation and high-throughput analyses than with manual ELISA or semi-automated methods.
Gyros’ technology delivers high-quality data with broad dynamic ranges and excellent reproducibility while dramatically reducing sample and reagent consumption. Gyrolab systems use precise, automated control of centrifugal and capillary forces to steer liquid flow through nanoliter-scale microfluidic structures contained within Gyrolab CDs, automating the assay workflow.
The Gyros platform of automated nanoliter-scale immunoassays has gained wide acceptance in a broad range of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies for its speed, accuracy and ease of use. The introduction of the new Gyrolab platform is significant news because it makes this same cutting-edge technology accessible to smaller laboratories and research institutions.
