The MycoQSearch™ Plus Mycoplasma RT-qPCR Detection Kit is a quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) assay designed for the rapid and accurate detection of mycoplasma contamination in cell culture and biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
By combining RNA-based detection with a DNA depletion step during sample preparation, the kit minimizes signals derived from residual mycoplasma DNA while achieving a detection sensitivity of 1 CFU/mL.
The assay enables broad-spectrum detection of more than 200 mycoplasma species, including Acholeplasma, Spiroplasma, and Ureaplasma. The test procedure has been validated for sensitivity, specificity, and robustness in accordance with European Pharmacopoeia 2.6.7, providing reliable and reproducible results.
The kit also incorporates a dual-probe system to identify potential cross-contamination from positive control DNA and an RNA internal control to monitor assay performance and ensure the validity of test results.
