Dry granulation allows dry handling of moisture sensitive active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). It is also a good option when an efficient, low-cost tableting process is required.
The most common approach for dry granulation is roll compaction. During this process a powder blend of all relevant ingredients is compressed between two rotating mills.
