Pipette Controllers

Pipette controllers are used in the pharmaceutical industry to measure liquid samples for testing and validation, quality control and analysis and for pharmaceutical research and development. Some pipette controllers are ergonomically designed for comfortable use while other manual use a bulb style for economical use.

Many pipette controllers work by creating a vacuum above the liquid-holding chamber and carefully release the vacuum to draw up and distribute liquid. Measurement accuracy can vary greatly based on the style.

The first step in choosing a pipette controller is to have a thorough understanding of the liquids that are being measured. Then you must match the size range (nanoliter to milliliter) of the device to your volumetric needs. Additional considerations include durability, electronic/automated features and shape/design considerations. For example, multi-well controllers work well with multiwell pharmaceutical equipment.
