Mayor Lane and West Pharmaceutical Services to Host Community Groups, Local Dignitaries at Scottsdale Facility Ribbon-Cutting

Scottsdale, AZ—Donald E. Morel, Jr. Ph.D., chairman and CEO of West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (NYSE: WST), and Scottsdale Mayor W.J. “Jim” Lane will host community representatives at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, April 16 at 11:00 a.m. at the company’s Scottsdale pharmaceutical delivery systems engineering center. The ceremony will recognize West’s recently-completed modifications to accommodate production of a pharmaceutical drug delivery system and planned future investment in the Arizona business community.

West employs 580 in Arizona at the Scottsdale facility and three others in the Phoenix area, which operate under The Tech Group name. West anticipates adding approximately 100 engineering and operations jobs in Scottsdale over the next five years.

Present at the event will be representatives of local charities that have benefited from West’s philanthropic West without Borders* initiatives. A local U.S. Air Force color guard will also be on hand, and the renowned Saguaro high school choir will perform.

  • The Scottsdale Center of Excellence currently employs 97 workers.
  • Planned further investment in the facility is expected to add approximately 100 jobs over the next five years.
