Fillers add bulk to products making very small active ingredient components easy for consumer to take. Examples include: lactose, sucrose, magnesium stearate, glucose, plant cellulose, calcium carbonate, and the like. Fillers are added to pharmaceuticals to help with the manufacturing and stabilization of these products. Fillers bind and stabilize a supplement. They do not alter or impact the effectiveness of the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API).
